The firm has set up farming facilities across agricultural lands in Nashik, Ahmedabad, Anand, Boriyavi, Nadiyad, Reengus and Khatu. Saintfarm's primary focus is on producing and selling organic produce.
To launch Saintfarm's operations, Kurup acquired organic farmland, trained organic farm producers, set up organic food processing and packaging units, built apiaries, created a supply chain and launched an app across both Android and iOS platforms to make it accessible to consumers across the country. Kurup, who founded ad agency CreativeLand Asia and alternative investment fund Ventureland Asia, has spent the last couple of years focusing on integrating Saintfarm's operations. It may be noted that Shah, who still holds a minority stake in Arpit Organic, is the chief operating officer (COO) of Saintfarm. Saintfarm was started with an initial investment of $2-$3 million after Kurup acquired decade-old Ahmedabad-based Arpit Organic, set up by Nehal Shah, in 2019. At present, it has 258 different organic product categories. Saintfarm has been selling fresh organic produce such as fruits, vegetables, pulses, honey and cow ghee in India's top metros through its online platform. The firm is engaged in organic farming, processing, agri-tech, R&D, exports and online retailing. Entrepreneur Sajan Raj Kurup has launched Saintfarm Agro LLP, an end-to-end e-commerce venture focused on organic and sustainable food.
